We have recently purchased your Automatic synchronization of Google
Merchant Feed module and we have a question about how it works. Once the
Feed has been generated and the file has been downloaded we upload it
by FTP file (file_shopping_feed_directory.JPG) to the URL that you
designate as shown in the figure (url_shopping_feed.JPG). Well, once
there, when we want to add more products, would we have to generate and
upload again, would there be any way to synchronize to the URL and
generate the Feed in the same file? We do not find the way to locate the
address of the generated file, there is a field where you can put the
Feed file (shopping_feed.JPG), but we do not really know if you just put
the name of the .XML file, or the entire URL where it is located,
however we have tried both things but once you save, it is lost and we
do not know for sure what has happened. Could you please clarify these
doubts,

Hello,
"google merchant center feed" module allows to generate and download feed in 3 ways:

  1. directly in shop's back office when you hit button "save and export": https://i.imgur.com/R1er9Pb.png
you download file to your computer. File can be uploaded manually to google then

  2. with special url that module generates here: https://i.imgur.com/CmGPZqJ.png
this url contains many variables that decides about feed specification. These variables are equal to settings that you used in form.
once you will change some option in export form - the url will be updated: https://i.imgur.com/64awBOm.png

This url - when it is accessed in web browser - generates feed with products. It can be used for automatic synchronization in google merchant center.
When you configure products source in merchant center - you can use this url there. Google will connect to this url and module will generate up to dated feed and google will automatically download it.

  3. with special url that points to file physically saved on FTP: https://i.imgur.com/JCbvWPP.png
This option, when it is active, will save feed to file each time the url from point 2 will be opened.
So you can use - for example - cron job feature - the file will be saved to defined location each time the cron will execute the URL.
Then, in google merchant center you can use url like https://domain.com/m...ed/products.xml

what's the difference between 2 and 3 ?
when you will use url to feed from point 2 - feed will be generated automatically and downloaded by merchant center. It can consume resources each time google will try to reach the url
when you will use option to save file in point 3 - feed will be generated only when your cron task will connect to this url. Then google will download file only (it will not generate feed so in effect it will not consume hosting resources).

If you want to use this module for google merchant center purposes only - you can use feed from point 2. But if you want to use it also for other plaforms, use third (point 3) possibility to reduce server usage.

You also asked about this field: https://i.imgur.com/ELY9iDB.png
when you will paste here url to feed from point 2 - all options in form used in feed will be automatically selected
