Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on improving my site's SEO and found that image optimization often gets overlooked. One key area is using SEO alt tags Prestashop offers for every product image.

By adding relevant and keyword-targeted alt tags, I’ve seen better indexing of my product pages in Google Images. There are also modules that can automate the process if you have a large catalog.

Just wanted to share this tip—don’t skip your image SEO!

Hi avalenmathorne,

Thanks for sharing such a valuable tip! You’re absolutely right—image optimization, especially with SEO alt tags, is often overlooked but can make a significant difference in improving a site’s visibility. Using SEO alt tags in PrestaShop for every product image is a smart strategy, and it’s great to hear that you’ve seen better indexing of your product pages in Google Images after adding relevant, keyword-targeted tags.

The automation aspect is also a fantastic point. PrestaShop modules that handle alt tag generation can save a lot of time, especially for sites with large catalogs. It ensures consistency and frees up effort for other SEO tasks. Your advice to not skip image SEO is spot-on, as it can boost both search rankings and accessibility.

If you’re open to it, I’d love to hear more about which modules you’ve found effective or any specific keywords that worked well for your niche. This could help others looking to optimize their PrestaShop stores!

Great contribution—keep the insights coming!
